Prepping for the CrossFit Masters Division

My kids made my birthday meal.

I’m excited that the CrossFit Open has moved to the fall. It will now start the week after my birthday.

Anyway, this year is a big one for me in CrossFit, because I turned 55 on October 6th. That brings me not just to a new competitive division but to a new scaling division. At 55, the weight lifted and exercise performed is usually different.

I’m not sure if this will benefit me. A box mate pointed out that the women who stick around and compete at these ages are really competitive and really fit. I’m not really either. LOL

For my birthday, my husband created a special “Teresa” metcon with the help of the coaches. It was the best present! Not only was it fun, it was tough and included my favorite move – HSPU.
